Hi, my name is Enrico and I’ve been working in IT since 2002. I’m a systems engineer and technical consultant based in Switzerland, focused on modern workplace solutions and enterprise infrastructure — designing, implementing, and running virtual desktop environments and cloud-based productivity platforms.

My home turf is desktop virtualisation, with a particular focus on Azure Virtual Desktop, Windows 365 and Citrix CVAD, all within the wider Microsoft ecosystem: Azure, Microsoft Intune, Entra ID and Microsoft 365.

Lately, more and more of my work lives at the intersection of virtual desktops and identity & security — Conditional Access, passwordless and phishing-resistant sign-in, and building environments that stay secure without getting in the user’s way. It’s an area I keep digging deeper into.

And I have a soft spot for troubleshooting: working through dumps, traces and logs until I really understand why something breaks, not just how to hide the symptom. That’s usually where the posts on this blog come from — real problems from real environments, and what I learned along the way.
